Our philosophy
Space has always embodied that feeling of grandeur that fascinates and unsettles us at the same time. We are naturally attracted to what is above us, and exploration is an intrinsic characteristic of our species.
At the basis of our philosophy is one of the traits that most distinguishes man, curiositas. Aristotle was already aware of this when he stated that all men by nature tend to knowledge. Some time later, Immanuel Kant underlined how much the human being tries to go beyond his own limits. It is even said that Pliny the Elder died of curiositas.
After all, space is all that. It represents man's ultimate limit to overcome. We, at SEDS, want to participate in this grandiose project.
The heterogeneity of space
When we think of space we often think only of the engineers who design space vehicles and space missions - and indeed, it is thanks to the rigor of science and engineering that we got to the Moon. But it would be wrong to forget the heterogeneity of disciplines that are involved in the space field, which acts as a glue between the scientific, humanistic and economic worlds.
For this reason SEDS needs people from different backgrounds and with different skills. As we move forward in the discovery of a new world, it is essential to integrate different skills and competencies, and to take advantage of all the knowledge we already possess on planet earth.
Potentiality
Space exploration is not limited to the scientific field, but it branches out in various fields of daily life, including the economic and financial. In recent times this sector has undergone a strong impetus in this direction starting from the direct experience of some companies.
